iSchool, the leading K-12 AI and coding education platform in the MENA region, today announced the acquisition of Rubikal, a globally recognized software engineering company, in a strategic move to accelerate the development of its next-generation AI products and infrastructure for schools.

    The Team

As part of the acquisition, Rubikal’s leadership team and engineering talent will join iSchool. Mohamed Ibrahim, Co-founder of Rubikal, will take the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at iSchool, while Moustafa Badawy, Co-founder, will join as Vice President of Engineering. The transaction also brings a team of 21 software engineers into iSchool’s growing technology division.

    Relationship

The acquisition builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies. Over the past three years, Rubikal has served as a key engineering partner to iSchool, supporting the development and scaling of its technology platform. This deep collaboration revealed strong operational and cultural alignment, ultimately leading to the decision to fully integrate both teams.

    Engineering Team

“From day one, the synergy between iSchool and Rubikal was clear,” said Muhammad Gawish, Co-founder and CEO of iSchool. “Rubikal has been an extension of our engineering team, and this acquisition allows us to fully align our capabilities as we move faster toward building the AI infrastructure that schools will depend on in the future.”

Founded as a global software house, Rubikal has delivered high-quality software solutions for international clients across the United States and Europe, including Discovery Inc, The Walt Disney Company, Strada, InsideTrack, Roadtrip Nation, Vestaboard, and Concentrical. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering scalable, high-performance products across multiple industries.

    Opportunity

“Over the past few years, working closely with iSchool, we saw firsthand the scale of the opportunity to transform education through technology,” said Mohamed Ibrahim, incoming CTO of iSchool. “Joining forces allows us to go beyond building products to creating a full AI-powered ecosystem for schools, combining deep technical expertise with a clear educational vision.”

    Accelerate the Development

Through this acquisition, iSchool aims to accelerate the development of its proprietary AI-driven learning systems, platform infrastructure, and internal tools, reinforcing its position as both an education provider and a technology platform.

With more than 150,000 graduates across 20+ countries, iSchool continues to expand its footprint across the MENA region and beyond, with a growing focus on large-scale institutional and government partnerships.

This acquisition marks a significant milestone in iSchool’s journey to become the foundational AI infrastructure layer for schools globally.
