Housing and Development Properties (HDP), the real estate arm of Housing & Development Bank, has signed a cooperation agreement with EPower, the licensed Egyptian company to distribute and sell electricity, to manage, operate and maintain electricity and water networks across HDP developments. The agreement was signed by Eng. Amgad Hassanein, Vice Chairman of Housing & Development Properties (HDP), and Eng. Ahmed Nada, CEO and Managing Director of EPower. This partnership reflects HDP’s commitment to deliver integrated living livelihoods supported by reliable and sustainable infrastructure that enhances customer wellbeing. It also reinforces the company’s strategy to develop fully serviced communities that align with global benchmarks and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Under the agreement, EPower will manage, operate and maintain medium and low voltage electricity distribution networks. The company will also contract directly with customers to supply electricity and water, install the latest electricity and water metering systems, oversee their operation, issue monthly consumption bills and collect payments in accordance with the published tariffs set by the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency and the Egyptian Water and Wastewater Regulatory Agency. The agreement further includes carrying out maintenance works and providing spare parts to ensure uninterrupted service, in addition to overseeing all implementation and operational phases according to the highest quality and safety standards. This ensures a more efficient utility management and enhances the reliability and quality of electricity and water services, and enhances customer and investor confidence in HDP’s developments, reinforcing its position as a trusted destination for living and investment.
Eng. Amgad Hassanein, Vice Chairman of Housing & Development Properties (HDP), stated: “Our vision at HDP is built on partnerships with specialized companies across key sectors. This collaboration with EPower ensures a high level of service for our customers. We firmly believe that the success of any development goes beyond delivering high-quality units, it depends on creating a fully integrated environment that supports a better lifestyle. For this reason, our strategy is centered on building integrated communities equipped with essential utilities and services, offering a balanced residential, work and social life within one destination.”
Eng. Ahmed Nada, CEO of EPower, commented: “EPower is committed to strengthening customer trust by improving the quality of service across all locations where we operate. We are proud to serve more than forty-five developers and nearly thirty-five thousand customers. We value this partnership with HDP and appreciate the leadership of Eng. Amgad Hassanein whose extensive contributions have significantly shaped the real estate sector in Egypt. The recent progress at HDP have positioned its projects as strong contenders in the market. At EPower, we remain dedicated to elevating service standards and ensuring higher satisfaction across all projects.”

The agreement covers seven of HDP’s flagship developments, including Club Hills, Westview, and Terrace in West Cairo; Tadla, Square One Exclusive Residences and The Gray in East Cairo; in addition to The Island in Marina 5 on the North Coast. EPower will supervise the implementation of electrical networks and provide after-sales and technical support to ensure best performance and reliability.
