The Cairo International Technology Exhibition and Conference for the Middle East and Africa Cairo ICT hosted a high-level appreciation and recognition event honoring its strategic partners including government entities represented by ministers, as well as sponsors and exhibitors who participated in its 29th edition; in recognition of their pivotal role in supporting the exhibition’s journey and ensuring its continuity as the region’s leading platform for telecommunications, information technology, and digital transformation for nearly three decades.

The event was attended by seven ministers, alongside a distinguished gathering of senior government officials, executive leaders, and representatives of major local and international institutions, underscoring Cairo ICT’s growing national and regional influence.

During the ceremony, the official launch of the 30th edition of Cairo ICT was announced, scheduled to take place from 8–11 November, under the theme “AI in Action.” The event also witnessed the announcement of the fifth edition of the International Cybersecurity and Information Security Exhibition and Conference (caisec’26), set to be held on 8–9 June.

The event was organized in recognition of the exceptional achievements of the 29th edition of Cairo ICT, which marked a significant milestone in the exhibition’s history. The edition welcomed 161,000 visitors, hosted 580 companies and institutions from 17 countries, featured 120 high-level panel discussions with the participation of more than 550 speakers, witnessed the signing of 30 memorandums of understanding, and concluded with the announcement of 40 strategic recommendations aimed at advancing the future of multiple economic sectors.

Over the past decade, particularly between 2015 and 2025, Cairo ICT has recorded unprecedented growth in both scale and impact, achieving an increase of more than 112% in visitor numbers and 92% in exhibitor participation. This sustained growth firmly positions Cairo ICT as the largest integrated technology platform in the region—one that goes beyond showcasing technological innovations to serve as a strategic nexus connecting government, the private sector, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs, while reinforcing the role of technology as a key enabler of comprehensive economic development.

The transition from last year’s theme “AI Everywhere” to “AI in Action” in the upcoming 30th edition reflects the evolution of Cairo ICT’s vision, shifting the focus from exploring concepts and trends to enabling real-world applications of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. This shift highlights the exhibition’s commitment to maximizing technology’s tangible impact on service enhancement, productivity, sectoral efficiency, and the acceleration of the digital economy.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance; Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation; Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education; Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities; Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority; and Ayman Hussein, First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt for the Business Technology Sector—reflecting the breadth of Cairo ICT’s impact across Egypt’s key economic and service sectors.

Participants emphasized that Cairo ICT has evolved into a comprehensive, cross-sectoral platform serving education, finance, aviation, tourism, agriculture, government services, and beyond—embodying technology’s role as a primary engine for development, a cornerstone of digital transformation, a catalyst for financial inclusion, and a driver of institutional efficiency.

In this context, Ossama Kamal, Chairman & CEO TradeFairs International – the organizing company- of Cairo ICT expressing his sincere appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his continued patronage of the exhibition since 2015, as well as to Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt; Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; and all strategic partners and sponsors whose contributions have been instrumental in the exhibition’s sustained success and growth in a manner that reflects Egypt’s stature and the significance of its national technology exhibition.

    Kamal added:
“Over the past years, Cairo ICT has witnessed remarkable expansion through the launch of a comprehensive portfolio of specialized technology exhibitions held within its framework—most notably PAFIX, the Payments Technology Exhibition and Conference, now in its 12th consecutive edition; Connecta, the youth-focused technology exhibition, which has attracted more than 62,000 young participants; and AIDC, the Artificial Intelligence and Data Centers Exhibition and Conference, which achieved notable international distinction in its second edition. This growth reflects the exhibition’s transformation into a fully integrated strategic platform with far-reaching economic impact.”

In recognition of its regional and international influence, Cairo ICT was awarded the “Most Influential Technology and Innovation Exhibition and Conference in the Middle East and Africa” by Global Brands, reaffirming its leadership position and sustained role in shaping the future of the technology and innovation ecosystem.

The announcement of the 30th edition of Cairo ICT 2026 under the theme “AI in Action” marks a new chapter in the exhibition’s journey, reinforcing its role as a strategic platform that turns vision into execution and drives a more competitive and sustainable digital economy regionally.
